Office Administration

The goal of this certificate is to allow students to be qualified to perform the duties of office assistants, secretaries, and administrative assistants. Thus, the course work emphasizes skills in the areas of: communication, team building, keyboarding, computer applications, mathematics, and English.

The certificate may be all that a student wishes to complete at Ohio University Lancaster Campus. However, a student also may use the courses taken to pursue more education and complete an associate's or bachelor's degree. A student also may use the certificate program to enhance any Ohio University degree. To receive an Office Administration certificate, a student must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (C).
