Welcome to the Ohio University Lancaster Campus. Ohio University Lancaster offers the academic foundation of a university education, the convenience of a small campus setting, the affordability of state-assisted tuition, and relevant education for today's competitive job market. We also provide convenience throughout Fairfield County by offering students the option to attend classes on the Lancaster Campus or Pickerington Center. Situated on 113 acres on the northern edge of Lancaster, the campus serves students from throughout central Ohio. A variety of associate's and bachelor's degree programs can be completed on the Lancaster Campus. Ohio University also offers more than 250 majors, which you can begin in Lancaster or Pickerington and finish in Athens, at another regional campus or online.



Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington graduate Kathleen Uhl was honored with the Emerging Athena award by the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce. Internationally, Athena Leadership Awards honor professional excellence and community service.  They also recognize female leaders for actively assisting other women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. The Emerging Athena recognizes an up-and-coming community leader for her efforts.


Ohio University Lancaster Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice & Sociology, Jennifer L. Steele, Ph.D., was recently published in two peer-reviewed journal publications:

Steele, Jennifer. “Race and General Strain Theory: Examining the Impact of Racial Discrimination and Fear on Adolescent Marijuana and Alcohol Use.” IN.  Substance Use and Misuse.

Peralta, Robert L., Steward, Breanna C., Steele, Jennifer L., and Wagner, Fernando A. “Non-Medical Use of Prescription Drugs in Emerging Adulthood: Differentiating Sex from Gender.” IN. Addiction Research and Theory.


Congratulations to Jeanie McGarvey who was selected as one of the five finalists for the 2016 Ohio University Homecoming Court.  McGarvey is a communication major who was recently awarded a 2016 Student Leadership Award. She is on the Dean’s List, Volunteers her time with Compassionate Care International and is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, L.E.A.D., Lambda Pi Eta, and Phi Theta Kappa.

Ping-Yuan Wang

Ohio University Lancaster Associate Professor of History Ping-Yuan Wang is presenting at the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference, an international interdisciplinary conference for scholars of early modern Europe (ca. 1450-1700). She will present at a panel: “Writing Popular Histories of Early Modern Women: Opportunities and Challenges” and serve as a commentator on a roundtable, titled “Women and Religion in the Early Modern Low Countrie” as well as presenteing her paper “Order and Disorder in the Convents in Seventeenth-Century Brussels.”

Professor Ping-Yuan Wang will present at the Original Lilly Conference at Miami University and also serves on the Awards Committee of the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women, was appointed  chair of the committee for 2017, serving a 3-year term.




Patrick Drumm

Associate Professor of Psychology Patrick Drumm attended Human Behavior and Evolution Society's 28th Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Human Behavior and Evolution Society is a worldwide organization for those studying the evolution of human behavior. Scientific perspectives range from evolutionary psychology to evolutionary anthropology and cultural evolution; and the membership includes researchers from a range of disciplines in the social and biological sciences.


Congratulations to Ohio University Lancaster Lecturer of Communication Studies Dr. Pamela Kaylor. Kaylor was one of four finalists for the inaugural Provost Award for Excellence in Teaching.
