Federal Hocking School District

Federal Hocking currently has three afterschool sites, one located at Coolville Elementary, one located at Amesville Elementary, and one located at the Middle / High School. Students are served at the schools that they attend. Elementary serves students in K-6 th grade. Students receive a snack and free time to transition into the afterschool program. Then they participate in homework help, math and reading intervention, and hands on enrichment activites.

The middle school program is funded through 21st Century Community Learning Center funds and serves students in 7 th - 12 th grade. Students receive a snack and a bit of free time directly after school to transition into the program. They then receive assistance in homework, intervention in reading in math, hands on enrichment activities, and coaching in college and career opportunities available to them. This program offers wrap-around services letting student leave for a practice, like baseball, and running to program after.
