Ohio University's Sorority & Fraternity Life system is made up of four governing councils, all overseen by the Sorority & Fraternity Life Office in the Campus Involvement Center.
Interfraternity Council (IFC): Designed to guide and support the fifteen member fraternities on campus in regards to academics, recruitment and community service. The council provides opportunities for fraternities, and their members, to become productive members of the Ohio University community.

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC): Serves to represent and unite the two active Ohio University MGC chapters on campus: 1 co-ed Latino group and 1 Latina sorority. MGC seeks to empower members and to form a more perfect alliance among fraternal organizations at Ohio University.
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC): Serves the seven traditionally African-American organizations on campus (3 fraternities, 3 sororities) who work together to achieve educational, social, economic, and political power. NPHC promotes interactions for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.

Women's Panhellenic Association (WPA):
Serves as the governing body for Ohio University's ten National Panhellenic Conference sororities. WPA makes policy decisions that impact all of its member organizations, promotes Greek unity, and increases awareness of issues in the Greek Community through functions and programs, and oversee the formal recruitment process.

There are also two additional unique experiences for fraternity and sorority members at Ohio University. These include the Order of Omega Honor society and the Rho Lambda Honor society.

The Greek Community Council is the funding source for most major programming for the Greek community at Ohio University such as All-Council Meetings, the Executive Leaders Retreat, Homecoming Week festivities, the Greek Week competition, and the Sorority & Fraternity Life Awards Banquet.
The Sorority & Fraternity Life Committee is a standing faculty committee of Ohio University comprised of students, faculty, and staff. The SFL Committee is responsible for upholding the academic policy for individual sororities and fraternities, reviewing matters affecting the Greek community, overseeing expansion and reinstatement efforts, and for making policy recommendations to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
