OHIO Honors Course Enhancement Workshops

Workshop Sessions

The OHIO Honors Course Enhancement Workshops are designed to help you build OHIO Honors components into courses you are already teaching. Instructional designers will partner with you to identify projects and assignments that supplement your existing curriculum, inviting highly motivated students to deepen their intellectual engagement with your course. Faculty members who participate in a workshop and submit an honors course adaptation proposal are eligible to receive $400 in compensation.

The OHIO Honors Program and the Office of Instructional Innovation have scheduled four workshops between January and March 2019. Two workshops will be held in four-hour blocks, and two others will be offered in two-hour blocks, scheduled one week apart. Upcoming workshops are scheduled in Haning Hall 018 at the following dates and times:

  • January 30 and February 6 (split session), 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • February 11, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • February 21, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • March 19 and March 26 (split session), 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

These workshops will introduce you to the OHIO Honors Program, and instructional designers will guide you through the process of submitting a proposal for an enhanced course to be considered for inclusion in the OHIO Honors curriculum.
