Eligibility for Educational Benefits

Employees that meet the following determinants; along with their qualified dependents (legally married spouse, domestic partner, biological, legally adopted, or legal guardianship children of the employee, employee's spouse, or employee's domestic partner) are eligible to participate in the educational benefits program.  Benefits continue subsequent to retirement and/or death of the eligible employee.

Classified Employees:
  • Full-time permanent employees are eligible for 100% of Instructional Fees waived
  • Part-time permanent employees are eligible for 50% of the Instructional Fees waived
  • Non benefits eligible employees are not eligible
Faculty & Administrators
  • Full-time employees with a .67 FTE or higher are eligible for 100% of the Instructional Fees waived
  • Part-time employees with less than a .67 FTE receive prorated benefits based on their full-time equivalency (FTE)
  • Quarterly Appointments, Term and Overload Contract employees are not eligible
