Summer Sessions 


Summer Housing & Dining Contract

The 2015 summer session Housing & Dining Services Contract will be available online by April 1. Please use the 'MyHousing Self Service' link located below our site menu, log in, and select Summer Contract 2157.

Summer Housing Accommodations

Students attending classes for the summer will be housed in Dougan, Ewing or Wray House on South Green.

First Summer Session

  • Monday, May 4, 2015
    • Housing assignments displayed on 'Housing Self Service'
  • Friday, May 8, 2015
    • Last day to reduce a meal plan for first or full summer session students
  • Friday, May 8, 2015
    • Residence hall opens at 4 pm for new students attending summer orientation only. Housing and Residence Life staff will be available from 4 pm to 7 pm to check students in.
  • Sunday, May 10, 2015
    • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for continuing students. Check in will take place from 12 pm until 4 pm.
    • First meal under board plan (dinner) for first summer session.
  • Monday, May 11, 2015
    • First day of first session classes.
  • Saturday, May 16, 2015
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, May 23, 2015
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Saturday, June 27, 2015
    • First summer session only residents must vacate the residence hall by 6 pm.

  • Sunday, June 28, 2015
    • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for second summer session.  Check in will take place from 12 pm until 4 pm.

    • First day of second session classes.
  • Saturday, July 4, 2015
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, July 11, 2015
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Saturday, August 14, 2015
    • Residence hall closes at 6 pm for summer school.

Refund Schedule

Refunds are made only for students who withdraw or do not attend Ohio University.

  • After April 1 and Prior to Hall Opening - 100%
  • Through 1st Week - 60%
  • Through 2nd Week - 40%
  • Through 3rd Week - No refund

All cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail, fax, or regular mail) to the Housing and Residence Life Office.

Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second summer session if cancellation is received by the Housing and Residence Life Office in writing prior to the last business day before classes begin.
