Housing and Residence Life is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities as well as minor modifications for health related needs. Students who have a need for air conditioned spaces due to allergies or asthma do not need to complete the request for accommodation, these students should select a room with air conditioning during the room selection experience. In collaboration with Student Accessibility Services, Housing and Residence Life will partner with students to determine eligibility and identify reasonable accommodations to promote academic and personal development on campus and enhance a successful residential experience. Eligibility for housing accommodations or health related needs is determined by:

Housing and Residence Life is pleased to offer texting capabilities to our main phone line. Please text us at 740.593.4090.
In the event that you have a disability that warrants reasonable accommodations or medical condition that requires minor adjustments within the residential facilities, please fill out the specific application that meets your needs. The Housing/Accessibility committee will review each request to determine the best possible accommodations based on the need of the student. Although preference of green and hall may be requested, not all preferences can be met. Once the application is submitted and reviewed, the student will be contacted by the Housing and Residence Life Office to review options in support of specific needs and finalize housing details.
If you are an incoming undergraduate or graduate student and are required/plan to reside on campus:
Housing accommodation forms are required to be submitted annually for placement consideration.
Students with disabilities who are required/plan to reside on campus must complete the following:
As a returning student, if you have not previously registered with Housing and Residence Life for a reasonable accommodation, complete and submit the disability documentation and Request for Housing Accommodation (PDF) form no later than February 15 to review options for fall semester. Appropriate disability documentation must be on file prior to receiving an accessible housing placement.
Annual resubmission of all housing accommodation forms are necessary for upcoming academic year placement review.
It is the goal of Housing and Residence Life to provide reasonable accommodations for all students who submit a request due to a documented disability or medical condition. Housing and Residence Life also values the importance of roommate connections. To ensure that we meet both the need for an accommodation and to maintain a connection, any student approved for an accommodation will be able to pull in one desired roommate provided that the request was submitted by the appropriate deadline.
In the event that your medical condition requires air conditioning due to allergies or asthma, Housing and Residence Life offers the opportunity for the student to select into a room with air conditioning during the Room Selection Process or the Room Change Process. If a student is not successful with selecting into a room with air conditioning at their designated time of selection or during the room change opportunity, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a manual assignment. In the event of a manual assignment, roommate requests or hall preferences may not be guaranteed during the placement process.
