HealthAlerts - straight talk on today's health challenges

Providing valuable health and wellness information to OHIO's students, faculty and staff

Ohio University is speaking out with HealthAlerts -- proactively empowering our University community with knowledge and resources to address the critical health and safety issues facing today's college students, faculty and staff.

HealthAlerts provides important information on key health issues often associated with any major educational institution. This website is continuously updated to reflect Ohio University’s current health emergency preparedness and education efforts.

As part of these efforts, a newly-formed, University-driven Zika virus section has been created to raise awareness about Zika and offer prevention information, global travel tips and up-to-date content from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The goal of the HealthAlerts site is to ensure students, faculty and staff are aware of health challenges and to help them better manage their responses to those challenges.

As with all medical issues, there is no substitute for professional medical attention. When in doubt, see your doctor and see your doctor early. Visit the student health center or your personal physician.
