Dr. Bushey-Miller joined the Graduate College in May of 2017. She holds a B.A. in English from University of Iowa, a M.S. in Student Personnel Services from Wright State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Ohio University.

Dr. Bushey-Miller oversees the Communications and Professional Development aspects of the Graduate College. The Communications element includes communicating important departmental initiatives to current and admitted graduate students as well as departmental graduate chairs/directors and staff. In addition, she provides support to various departmental projects including Original Work Grants, Travel Awards, Graduate Student Orientation, Named Fellows, and Graduate Council. In collaboration with other key Ohio University administrative staff and graduate students, Dr. Bushey-Miller helps identify professional development opportunities for graduate students and informs graduate students of these varied activities.

Dr. Bushey-Miller has been a part of the Ohio University community since 1994 and has worked in various departments across campus including Student Activities, Professional Development, and Human Resources. She has a particular interest in the first-generation, graduate student experience.
