What skills do you feel you've gained from going on a global program?
I definitely now know the challenges and perks of traveling alone. I feel that I also learned how to adapt to a situation more efficiently. Because one thing I learned while traveling abroad, alone, was that you never know what’s going to happen, and this can be a positive if you are able to adapt and evolve as the situation does.
What is one of your favorite memories from your global program?
My favorite memory while abroad was a trip to the Isle of Sky and Inverness that me and three other girls planned ourselves. It took us almost six hours to get there but we got to stay in a cute air b&b in a ver small town called Kyleakin. We went to a small local pub and got to experience Scotland from a different light than just being with the international summer school in one of the larger cities. We also got to see the amazing scenery you think of when you think of Scotland.
What advice would you give a student you is interested in a global program?
Be flexible and open to everything while on your global experience! Some of the best memories I have of my time abroad were the random and spontaneous trips my friends and I went on.
