Kate Marijolovic

Kate is majoring in Journalism and has a minor in History. She has participated in the Scripps in D.C. program, and studied abroad through our affiliate CIEE's Open Campus program in Rome, Italy and Copenhagen Denmark. 

What skills do you feel you've gained from going on a global program?

Through participating in global programs I've grown professionally and personally. Working while studying abroad helped me build my journalism experience, and by traveling I learned a lot about myself.

What is one of your favorite memories from your global program?

While on the Scripps in D.C. program, I interned in the U.S. House of Representatives. At the time, the Capitol was still closed to tours, so there were more than a few days when I would be the only person in the Capitol Rotunda.

What advice would you give a student you is interested in a global program?

Go for it! Global programs are a great way to explore new places and meet people from across the world.
