What skills do you feel you've gained from going on a global program?
I have become more confident in interacting with those who are different from me and have become a better listener. Also, by viewing other places, I have become more accepting of different cultures and in turn analyzed my own.
What is one of your favorite memories from your global program?
n Jamaica, we went to a reggae night with a live band and the guitarist let me play his guitar and he taught me a few chords.
What advice would you give a student you is interested in a global program?
Don't hesitate to travel because you don't know anyone else going on the trip! By going into my study-abroad not knowing anyone, I was forced to break out of my bubble and interact with people who I normally wouldn't have the opportunity to meet. I even made some good friends on the trip that I still talk to to this day.
