Lorinda Collins

Lori has worked for Ohio University since Sept 1999. She held several different positions at OHIO, before joining the OGO team in 2005 bringing along her expertise from the Cashier's and Registrar's offices.
As an Accounting Support Senior Specialist, Lori crafts the budgets for our OHIO Credit programs, handles payments to various vendors, and answers the complex questions that can come up for student accounts. Through her work, Lori has been able to travel to Ghana and Ecuador with two amazing groups of students. These programs allowed her to learn more about the advantages/disadvantages surrounding finances and study abroad, while also allowing her to see the world through the eyes of the students.
Lori originally hails from New Jersey, but has grown to love the town of Athens and its people. She is a mom of three wonderful kids and a grandmother of four rambunctious girls. Each year she travels to Canada on a two-week fishing trip with her husband and youngest son (even though she HATES to fish). Lori's pretty sure the boys only take her to cook!
Why does Lori like working for OGO? "My favorite part of working in OGO is all about the students. I love to see the smile on their faces when they figure out that they can financially afford to go abroad, and then to have them return and tell all their amazing stories. That is incredibly rewarding."
