US: Scuba Check Out Open Dive
This program provides travel to Devil's Den in Florida to allow students that have successfully completed REC 1220 the opportunity to become SCUBA certified.

Students may request a letter stating their participation in this program, however attendance in this program is considered optional and not considered a university excused absense from classes.

Courses and credits
This is a non-credit program.
Program fee includes: Student accommodations, dive admissions, KP Hole Park, Crystal Lodge Ferry, and transportation.
Students will travel to Devil's Den with the group via bus.
Please note that if flying domestically, you will need to ensure you have to proper identification to pass through airport security (TSA). Due to recent updates to Ohio state licensing laws, if you are an Ohio resident you will need to have either a compliant state ID (driver’s license) or another form of TSA approved documentation to fly domestically after 2020. If you are a non-Ohio resident, please check your state identification to ensure you may use it for domestic air travel or be prepared to show an alternative approved document. Eligibility and selection process
This program is open to students who have successfully passed the dive test in REC 1220.
Students who will be on probation at any point during the program for a conduct offense that took place less than a calendar year from the program start date may not study away. Click here to read the entire conduct policy.
