Global Health would like to congratulate Molly Beerman for completing her global health certificate this fall! Her capstone project explored issues around human trafficking both in the U.S. and in Nepal. The Global Health and Film class inspired Molly's interest in human trafficking.  Her study of the topic also led her to pursue more training on caring for victims of assault. Molly will graduate with her nursing degree in 2021 and hopes to return to her hometown of Cincinnati to practice nursing with a specialty in Sexual Assault Nursing.

The Global Health and Film course is an elective for the Global Health Certificate and is taught spring semester by Merri Biechler, Assistant Director of the School of Dance, Theater and Film. The Global Health Certificate is an interdisciplinary program open too all Ohio University students. Students complete 3 core Global Health courses, 2 electives from a variety of disciplines and a capstone project for a total of 18 credits.
