Learning Outcomes

Mission Statement:

Ohio University Division of Theater is committed to the development of the highest quality theater artists and scholars, through rigorous professional training, humanistic inquiry, and creative activity. We challenge our students to engage critically and creatively with research, the arts, and the world to prepare them for leadership roles as artists and citizens.


Student Learning Outcomes:


BFA

  • Demonstrate entry-level skills in professional presentation, collaboration and communication.
  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of research practices, dramatic literature, theory and history.
  • Apply skills and demonstrate a comprehension of theories and methodologies as they relate to professional practice in specific disciplines. 


MFA

  • Demonstrate heightened skills in professional presentation, collaboration and communication.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of research practices, dramatic literature, theory and history.
  • Apply heightened skills and demonstrate a comprehension of theories and methodologies as they relate to professional practice in specific disciplines.

BA
