Matt Fillmore hails from the Twin Cities area in the great state of Minnesota. In 2008, he graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. in Communication Studies. During his studies, Matt became deeply involved in video production. In 2005, he co-founded an on campus weekly television news program called GAC-TV. In 2007, Matt traveled around the U.S. filming a 25-minute documentary on immigration titled The Changing Face of America. And finally, in 2008, he traveled to Bangalore, India to film Bangalamerica, a film examining American influences on the city of Bangalore. After graduating from Gustavus, Matt decided to travel to South Korea and teach English to (very) young children. Now, coming straight from Korea, Matt is enjoying getting back into film production in his first year in the MFA film program here at Ohio University.
