Fernando Salinas was born in Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico. His first relationship with art was through literature and writing short stories. This interest evolved into performance art. Fernando acted in several different theater companies over seven years. After completing his undergraduate degree, he started creating films. In 2004, he won an award that allowed him to produce his first 16mm film Mina which was entered several festivals in Mexico and Spain.
He is currently working on a narrative film for his thesis this year.
