Facilities and Resources

Putnam Hall, the home of the School of Dance since 1969, is located on Ohio University's East Green. Renovated in 2004, Putnam provides dedicated space for dance classes and rehearsals and concert events.

There are five sprung-floor dance studios and a fully equipped Pilates lab in the building. A 225 seat dance studio theater provides performance space for dance and a lab for students to develop production skills in lighting and stage management. Two 40 seat lecture rooms are housed in Putnam. Students have close access to faculty whose offices are in the building. Three pianos, a full set of hand-made Ghanaian drums and other percussion instruments provide accompaniment for classes.

The Create_space, a state of the art space dedicated to exploring technology and art, is located on the second floor.
