Michael Lincoln has more than 35 years of experience working as a professional lighting designer in theater, opera and dance—from regional productions to Broadway and international venues. In “Research Moment,” Lincoln discusses the experiences that students can gain in the Ohio University theater production design and technology program, the types of careers they can pursue in this field, and the art and impact of lighting design in theater.

The Wolves (2018)
The Ohio University School of Theater presented The Wolves, by Sarah DeLappe, October 4–6 and 9-13, 2018. Directed by David Haugen, and presented in the Forum Theater, The Wolves is a portrait of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who want to score on the soccer field. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, a girl’s indoor soccer team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors.

Ohio University’s School of Theater presented Cabaret, Nov. 29- Dec. 1 and Dec. 4-8, with a special matinee performance at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Forum theater.
Cabaret, with a book by Joe Masteroff, and music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, was directed and choreographed by M.F.A. Directing Candidate Anne McAlexander, with musical direction by Assistant Professor and Head of Musical Theater Alan Patrick Kenny.
