Living on Campus

Staying in our university residence halls gives students the full Ohio University experience! Pre-college students who participate in the housing and meal plan will be housed in historic Voigt Hall, located directly among the College of Fine Arts buildings and just a short walk from Uptown Athens.

Voigt Residence Hall
Voigt Residence Hall

Students are housed in traditional dormitory double rooms with twin extra-long beds, and those joining the program with friends or family members may request a roommate in advance. Communal bathrooms are located on each floor

Our Resident Advisors, all current Ohio University students, stay in the building and provide round-the-clock support as well as coordinating extracurricular events and outings. Students will have the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus as well as Uptown Athens and the natural beauty of the Ridges.

Adult students participating in the Summer Dance Institute will be housed in Bromley Hall, in suite-style single rooms.

Meal Plan

Our meal plan is designed for variety and to introduce students to Athens beyond the university campus, with catered breakfasts, lunches at local restaurants, and dinners held on campus at Boyd Dining Hall, which offers a variety of options for all dietary needs. Menus change regularly but can be viewed online to plan for each student’s particular needs. Any questions regarding menu planning for individual students can be directed to our campus dietition, Angie Bohyer, at
