Stephanie Price-Wong has been surrounded by music her entire life. Growing up in a musical and an arts administrative family, she is currently the Assistant Artistic Director and Fellowship Program Director of the Chamber Music Connection based in Worthington, Ohio. Last year, Stephanie was a Visiting Artist at Ohio University teaching viola and chamber music. Starting this fall, she will now be the Adjunct Viola Professor. In addition to her work in Ohio, for the past four summers, Stephanie has traveled to Sonoma County to work for California Summer Music as the Administrative Assistant and Outreach Coordinator.

As a violist, she has performed recitals in the United States and Europe, notably at the Kennedy Center, Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Anglican Church in Nice, France, and on National Public Radio’s From the Top! series. Stephanie has been a performing artist at the Caroga Lake Music Festival (CLMF) held in Caroga Lake, NY since it’s founding in 2012. As a CLMF artist, she has performed in the Caroga Chapel, Canada Lake Store “Barge” concerts, St. John’s Episcopal Church (Johnstown, NY), SVAN series at Mayfield Presbyterian Church (Mayfield, NY), St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (Cobleskill, NY), Mettabee Farm (Hillsdale, NY) and St. John the Divine in NYC.

Her diverse performing styles have resulted in collaborations with world-renowned artists including the Cavani Quartet, Jeffrey Irvine, Peter Salaff, Michael Tree, percussionist Jamey Haddad, Postmodern Jukebox, and the David Wong Trio. She has also performed in orchestras for Andrea Bocelli, Arnie Roth, Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy, Cleveland Pops, Firelands Symphony Orchestra, Central Ohio Symphony, Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra, New Albany Symphony Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra (violin and viola) and as Assistant Principal Viola with Opera Project Columbus lead by music director and internationally acclaimed conductor, Maestro Alessandro Siciliani.

Stephanie received a Master of Music in Viola Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music with a certificate in Arts Leadership from the Catherine Filene Shouse Arts Leadership Program. In 2012, Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she was the recipient of the Alumni Jim Hall Graduate Studies Scholarship. Her primary teachers include Carol Rodland, Jeffery Irvine, Kirsten Docter, Lynne Ramsey, and her mother Deborah B Price. Stephanie is also an Andover Educator Trainee working to fulfill her certification in Body Mapping through the Andover Educators. Her Andover Educator sponsoring teacher is Bay Area flautist and Alexander Technique teacher Amy Likar.

In addition to Stephanie’s studies and performance in viola, she has an extensive background in ballet from 1997-2008 at Irveline’s Ballet School in Columbus, Ohio and modern dance from Case Western Reserve University’s Mather Dance Center, Department of Theater and Dance from 2008-2012 in Cleveland, Ohio. She currently resides in Columbus where she enjoys teaching privately, spending time with her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Bridget, and performing gigs with her husband, electric/acoustic violinist, David Wong.
