I am a first-year MA student in Film Studies at Ohio University. Previously I was a graduate student in the Arts Policy and Administration program at Ohio State specializing in film studies. There, I wrote a master’s thesis on U.S. film diplomacy. I wrote about the films of Richard Linklater and Wim Wenders relying heavily on the writings of Siegfried Kracauer, and my current research interests include film aesthetics, theory, and history, subjectivity, exile, American independent cinema and post-war European/German film, critical theory (esp. Siegfried Kracauer and Theodor Adorno), German philosophy, theory, and intellectual history, etc.
