Dr. Garrett Field Delivers Invited Lecture for the Dhivehi Language Academy, Maldives

On September 6 Dr. Garrett Field delivered an invited lecture via Zoom for the Dhivehi Language Academy. The Dhivehi Language Academy is a national institution in the Maldives. Dr. Field’s presentation was entitled “The Poetic Device of Syllable Scrambling in Raivaru.” The word “raivaru” refers to a genre of Dhivehi-language sung poetry.
