Human Resources Partner Group

Mission/Charge

The Human Resources Partner Group will provide diverse perspective in the establishment or refinement of policies, processes, and procedures related to HR Services that support the recruitment and retention of a diverse, high-performing workforce.

Goals

  • Student Employment: The group will work with UHR and the Office of Student Financial Student aid to improve existing information and websites with more thorough, consistent, and useful information related to student employment for those who hire and manage student employees.
  • Onboarding: Create templates and checklists that will help departments and supervisors more efficiently ensure that employees are provisioned and prepared to start work on day one. Special attention will be given to systems checklists for both onboarding and offboarding.
  • Temporary Services Vendor Selection: Continue to work as a selection committee for preferred vendor(s) for temporary staffing services at OHIO and provide input and guidance on rolling out any operational changes.
  • Policy and Procedure: Provide feedback regarding any applicable policies or procedures that may be revised throughout the year.
  • Review Pay Administration Guidelines
  • Provide oversight of the development of performance management tools
  • Create consistency in annual raise pool allocations
  • Define Overload processes

FY18 Accomplishments

  • Collaboration with HR, Financial Aid and Graduate Student Services to update student employee information across multiple websites to ensure consistent information and resources.
  • RFP and identified preferred supplier for temporary staffing services
  • Participated and provided feedback of HR website redesign with project managers
  • RFP issued and awarded for the bi-annual equity review
  • RFP issued for the five-year market study
  • Participated and provided feedback of UHR website redesign
  • Discussion regarding pay for performance (introduction to Classified Staff)

FY19 Goals

  • Systems onboarding checklist

  • Collaboration with other partner groups as it pertains to HR topics

The Human Resources Partner Group is co-chaired by a member of the RC Strategy Group, as selected by the RC Strategy Chair and an HR Director, as selected by the Chief Human Resources Officer.
