The Office for Equal Opportunity and Accessibility is charged with overseeing the University's compliance with federal, state and institutional policy related to promoting equal opportunity in education and employment and Ohio University’s goal to improve the inclusion and accessibility for persons living with disabilities who engage with the University. This includes making policy recommendations; advising units about best hiring processes; offering training within the University community; ensuring educational and/or workplace support services for persons with disabilities; providing leadership to the institution on advancing accessibility in its programs, services and facilities; and monitoring compliance with the University's own affirmative action initiatives.
