DAGSI grant opportunity

Sep 16, 2019

The Defense Associated Graduate Student Innovators (DAGSI) program is preparing to release its annual list of research projects. This very competitive program provides one-year awards to graduate students whose research aligns with the program’s projects. Those chosen will collaborate with Air Force Research Lab scientists and engineers and will have access to AFRL facilities in addition to their home institution’s facilities.

The annual maximum doctoral award is $52,260. Master’s awards reach up to $44,130. Student stipends are $24,500 for doctoral students and $19,000 for master’s awards. Tuition is paid for each year of the award. Students are eligible for up to three years of funding.

Proposals consist of a two-person team: a graduate student and their faculty mentor. Proposals must be targeted at the DAGSI-approved topics. Due to government restrictions, applicants funded through DAGSI must be U.S. citizens.
