Distinguished Lecture: NASA Administrator Charles Bolden July 1, 2015

SSP15 participants and the public are invited to hear NASA Administrator Charles Bolden talk on Wed., July 1, from 8:30-10 p.m. in Baker University Center Ballroom about his vision for the future of the agency and the future of space throughout the world, including planetary science, Earth science, and future human exploration.

He will share his thoughts on the successes of the International Space Station and both what lies ahead for the ISS and how it has become a model for large, collaborative, international space projects in the future. Bolden will also discuss the progress that NASA is making towards its new exploration systems, Orion and SLS, and how commercial space companies are successfully being folded into NASA’s planning. He will also discuss his career as he rose from space shuttle astronaut to the leader of the world’s largest space agency. Following his remarks, audience members will be invited to engage in an animated question and answer session, and to then join in a reception that follows.
