ADA25 Russ College event - 10/21

The Russ College will host a lunch and learn on Wed., Oct. 21, from 11:45 a.m.-12:50 p.m. in Stocker Center 103 as part of a campus-wide celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Dean Dennis Irwin will facilitate a discussion on the extensive accessibility assessments made in preparation for International Space University’s (ISU) nine-week Space Studies Program, which OHIO hosted last summer. ISU Local Organizing Committee members Steve Riesbeck, who serves as research grants development coordinator for the Russ College, and Darrell Purdy, assistant director of the Office for Equal Opportunity and Accessibility, will round out the panel.

The Presidential Advisory Council on Disability and Accessibility Planning, and the Athens City Commission on Disabilities, have partnered to coordinate the month-long event series, including a variety of presentations and film screenings, all of which are free and open to the public.
