Coffee hour, lunch & learn to discuss women in STEM - 1/26 + 1/28

The OHIO Women’s Center will host a coffee hour and brown bag lunch and learn this week to discuss gender issues faced by women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors. Students, faculty, staff and community members from all fields and backgrounds are welcome to attend.


The Women in STEM Coffee Hour will present a TEDxYouth talk and follow with a discussion on role models breaking stereotypes of scientists on Tues., Jan. 26, from 5-6 p.m. in the Women’s Center, Baker Center 403.


Bring your lunch or snacks to the brown bag lunch and learn on engaging women in STEM, presented by Russ College Director of Multicultural Experiences Jody Markley on Thurs., Jan. 28, from noon-1 p.m. in the Women’s Center.


These events provide an opportunity for women STEM students to connect with each other, as well as educate all students on gendered issues within STEM fields.
