Botte to discuss green energy at free "Soylent Green" screening

To introduce the free Science on Screen showing of "Soylent Green," Russ Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Gerri Botte will discuss the effects of greenhouse gases, pollution and developments in alternative energy on Mon., March 31, at 7 p.m. at the Athena Cinema. 
This science fiction murder mystery is set in 2022, when the world is suffering from overpopulation and perpetual summer due to the effects of greenhouse gases and climate change. Botte, a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, is the developer of a green energy system that turns wastewater into clean water and energy as well as new clean coal technologies.
