British firm Virtalis to demo virtual reality tech at Ohio University on 7/28

The CEO and other representatives of Virtalis, a world-leading virtual reality and advanced visualization company, will be hosting hands-on demonstrations of their cutting-edge technology at Ohio University’s Academic & Research Center on Thursday, July 28.

The British company, which has its North American headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, will showcase its interactive 3D visualization system, ActiveMove, and its desktop visualization system, ActiveDesk, as well as its advanced visualization software, Visionary Render and GeoVisionary mapping system.

Members of the OHIO and Athens communities are invited to discover the potential virtual reality technology can bring to a wide variety of industries, ranging from mechanical design and robotics to energy, the environment, and medicine.

To attend, you must RSVP to Nicole Knapp at knappn@ohio.edu, choosing one of five one-hour sessions:

  • 9-10 a.m.
  • 10-11 a.m.
  • 11 a.m.-noon
  • Noon-1 p.m.
  • 2-3 p.m.

All sessions will take place in Academic & Research Center 102, and space is limited to 10 attendees per session.
