The Russ College of Engineering and Technology’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a homecoming celebration on July 14.

The department was established in 1968 by five Ohio University faculty members, led by Professor Emeritus and former Department Chair Robert Williams Sr.

Russ Professor and Department Chair Robert Judd said the department has grown significantly since its founding.

Occurring on the same weekend that Ohio Brew Week kicks offthe event is open to current and former faculty, alumni and students and will offer networking opportunities, student work displays, Russ College and campus tours, and an evening banquet at Baker University Center Ballroom.

It's a perfect opportunity for alumni to re-live their experiences, talk with their professors, network with other alumni, and see what’s new. I, and the rest of the faculty, can’t wait to engage with all who come," Dr. Judd said.

The cost to attend all events, including the banquet, is $55 per guest. Registration closes on June 30, and those who sign up by June 1 will receive a $10 discount.
