Work Design and Lean Methods Lab

The Work Design and Lean Methods Lab provides you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in traditional industrial engineering methods. Resources in the lab include adjustable Creform workstations for studying ergonomics and efficiency, and a variety of materials for simulating manual assembly operations for studying work design principles.

The lab equipment also allows you to demonstrate and observe the impact of lean principles by simulating manufacturing operations, moving the discussion of these principles beyond the classroom and into practice.

Students or groups in an ISE degree program can also use the room for projects or group work. For more info., contact Dusan N. Sormaz at 740.593.1545.
