Our engineering technology and management curriculum is a combination of general education per university requirements, business courses amounting to a minor in business, a technical core and electives.

The technical core, comprising 53 credit hours, includes coursework in

  • CAD and solid modeling
  • material science
  • production and operations
  • materials and manufacturing processes
  • computer applications
  • programming, electronics
  • quality assurance
  • automation
  • robotics and control systems.

Most courses in the technical core require extensive hands-on laboratory time in addition to the classroom lecture/theory time.

In addition to the core technical classes, two technical electives are required and can be chosen from courses such as technical documentation, product design, Lean Enterprise Methods, computer graphics, computer numerical control, and advanced plastics processes, as well as select courses offered by other departments in the college.
