About Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering students in lab

Chemical engineers can be found in a wide range of careers – manufacturing, sales and marketing, or fundamental and applied research in industry or government. Wherever you find them, they’re improving society’s health, safety, and quality of life.

To succeed as a chemical engineer, you’ll need to study the fundamentals of science and mathematics – and later material properties – and then learn how to integrate this knowledge into design and manufacturing processes.
