Electrochemical pioneer Gerri Botte introduced the world to “pee-to-power” technology, which converts ammonia into hydrogen and clean water. By combining this chemical process with hydrogen fuel cell technology, she invented the GreenBox, a self-contained treatment system that generates electricity to reduce reliance on external power sources. Botte was awarded the distinction of Fellow in the National Academy of Inventors, and the GreenBox was awarded the “Most Likely to Succeed” award at the Launch Silicon Valley product launch showcase and “Top Innovator” by youngStartup Ventures.
