Jessica Shuler lands at the Russ College to ensure smooth sailing for student aviators

Where did you prepare for your profession (education), and what was special about it?

I’m from Athens – I graduated Athens High School in 2002. Then, I received my associate degree in office management from Hocking College in 2009.

What will you do at the Russ College?

I’m the administrative specialist for the academic part of the Department of Aviation.

At the Russ College, we "create for good." You'll be hearing this a lot because it's true. How will you "create for good" while you're at the Russ College?

I look forward to making the process for aviation students to complete their degree as easy as possible by being there to assist them with their course of study.

What do you do when you're not creating for good?

I enjoy spending time with my family and attending my kid’s sporting events.

Name a top book, movie, show, band, travel destination, and say why?

My favorite family vacation spot is Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. My family has been vacationing there for the last eight years. It’s very family-oriented – the beach is nowhere near crowded, and we have our two special places we visit every time we’re there.

What's something students would never guess about you?

I was on the local Roller Derby Team for a short while, and I love roller skating.
