Dillon Mahr

Ambassador 2019-2020
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Hometown: Rutland, Ohio

Expected Graduation: Spring 2021

Dillon decided to attend Ohio University after seeing how the Russ College presented many unique opportunities for his family members who are now alumni. These include research teams, student projects, scholarships, and strong student-faculty relationships.

He is a member of Cutler Scholars Program, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Internal Bicycle Transportation Team (BITS), and the Schey Sales Center. All of these activities have allowed Dillon to grow as an engineer, learn how to create innovative solutions to problem solve, and create for good.

In the summer of 2019, Dillon studied abroad in Florence, Italy, to expand his horizons. Dillon has volunteered at Delta Waterfowl, where he applied his technical skills to aid in new research to reshape techniques used for upland game bird studies. He dreams of finding new ways to use his engineering background to make an impact in the area of wildlife conservation.

In his spare time, Dillon likes to play basketball, backpack, and spend time outdoors.
