Mechanical Engineering

bh070215@ohio.edu

Hometown: Marietta, Ohio

Expected Graduation: Spring 2020

After visiting Ohio University, there was no reason for Brittany to apply to any other colleges. She fell in love after seeing the beautiful, historic campus hidden away in southeast Ohio’s hills.

Brittany always intended on pursuing a career in mechanical engineering. She has always been interested in learning about how things work, which she attributes to many hours spent in the garage with her dad.

Over the past three summers, Brittany has had the opportunity to intern for Intertech Design Services, Northrop Grumman, and participate as an Air Force Research Lab Scholar. On campus, she works as a teaching assistant for thermodynamics as well as serves as a student technician in the Russ College Machine Shop.

In her free time, Brittany reveals her competitive side by participating in triathlons and other distance running races. She also likes reading books about WWII and visiting Air Museums since her life mission is to see every remaining B-17 Flying Fortress.
