Allie Gabbard

Engineering Ambassador 2018-2020
Engineering Technology and Management

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

Expected Graduation: May 2020

Allie only came to Ohio University for a tour, but she never looked back after seeing the campus. She quickly fell in love with the area’s blooming trees, lengthy hiking trails, and the campus size – she knew Athens would be her new home.

She initially struggled to pick a major, but she knew a hands-on program like engineering technology and management would fit her best. She earned her first internship after one semester at OHIO. On school breaks, Allie interns at Safran Landing Systems in Walton, Kentucky, where she recently completed her final summer internship as a project lead on the Central Engineering Capital Assets Team.

Allie is the president of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), president of the Women’s Club Soccer team, vice-president of the Engineering Ambassadors, and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

In her free time, Allie plays soccer, goes hiking and fishing, and explores Athens and the surrounding region.
