Dr. Prudich was a senior research engineer with Gulf Research and Development Company in Pittsburgh, PA working in the area of alternative energy prior to joining the Ohio University faculty in 1984. In addition to his educational and research duties, Dr. Prudich has served as chair of the department of chemical and biomolecular engineering and director of the Ohio Coal Research Center. He was the founding program manager of the statewide Ohio Coal Research Consortium. Dr. Prudich is an elected member and past president of the West Virginia University Academy of Chemical Engineers and has been a contributor/section editor to the last three editions of Chemical Engineers' Handbook. He is currently chair-elect of the chemical engineering division of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
