Jeff Giesey has been at Ohio University for 24 years. He assumed the duties of associate dean for academics in July 2012. For the four years preceding this, he was co-director of the University’s transition from quarters to semesters. Currently co-chair for the university’s first year council, he also has served as assistant chair in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and held a Fulbright Fellowship in Namibia where he helped the Polytechnic of Namibia develop their first bachelor’s degree program in engineering. He also initiated the college’s student chapter of Engineers without Borders.
