Dr. Beth VanDerveer’s research and scholarship focuses on sustained coaching and mentoring models and leadership styles for faculty in higher education. She has co-authored articles in peer-reviewed/juried journals about mentoring networks with diverse faculty, leadership, communication, and educational diplomacy. She has served as the Chairperson in the Department of Recreation and Sport Pedagogy and Human and Consumer Sciences. Dr. VanDerveer teaches courses about administration and leadership in recreation. She earned her Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University, master’s degree from the University of Idaho and her bachelor degree from Indiana University.
