Recreation Management Minor

This minor focuses on the management of recreation and leisure services. Recreation management careers are broad-based and include event management, community park and recreation departments, non-profit administration, campus recreation, military recreation, camps, fitness facilities, golf and tennis operations, sports complexes, and many more. The minor requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of coursework to complete and includes classes such as:  

  • EVENT PLANNING FOR RECREATION SERVICES
  • MARKETING FOR RECREATION SERVICES
  • RECREATION PROGRAMMING
  • PLANNING AND OPERATING RECREATION AREAS AND FACILITIES
  • RECREATION AND LEISURE IN SOCIETY
  • CONCEPTS AND ISSUES IN RECREATION
