Along with your scheduled Bobcat Student Orientation, you can also opt-in to join us for three additional days.

You may participate in either OHIO PREP program regardless of which BSO session you attend in June. While at OHIO PREP, you will enjoy an exciting, fun-filled week that will help prepare you for your new life as a college student!
OHIO PREP introduces incoming first-year students to the campus community, the expectations of college-level literacy, and will teach you skills to be successful throughout your first year of college and beyond!
Your week on campus includes Bobcat Orientation and the OHIO PREP Campus Literacy program. While on campus, you will engage in numerous activities designed to ready you for living and learning in a college environment. Activities include college preparation classes, campus literacy modules, outdoor activities, peer mentoring from current OU Bobcats, field trips to area locations, and more!
We are committed to helping you achieve your goals and Be Your Best Self! Long-term support and mentorship are available!
The program is free and includes all instruction, field trips, meals, and snacks! Participants are responsible for their own transportation each day to and from the Athens campus. However, if transportation costs are an obstacle, please email Ginger Gagne to discuss need-based resources that you may qualify for, to help offset travel expense
Space is limited, and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified by e-mail about acceptance into the program. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Ginger Gagne!
During the three-day OHIO PREP program, you will:
