Enjoy an exciting, fun-filled week to jump-start your student life at OHIO!
Energize your college experience with OHIO PREP!
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Patton College of Education Stevens Literacy Center Aspire Program is offering fully online summer programming to help ease the transition for new college students.
Want to get a sneak peak of college course materials? Want to learn how to navigate campus and be successful both on campus and in a virtual environment? Join us in June for an informative week that will help prepare you for your upcoming college experience!
Register for either June 15-19 or June 22-26.
OHIO PREP Online introduces incoming first-year students to the campus community, the expectations of college-level literacy and online texts, and will teach you skills to be successful throughout your first year of college and beyond! Whether you take courses online or in-person, OHIO PREP will help you gain valuable experience that will put you at the front of the class.
OHIO PREP Online will help prepare you for taking college courses by giving you practice using Blackboard, the most commonly used online platform for both online and hybrid courses at Ohio University; learning how to use the library and other student resources, meeting other future and current Bobcats with Zoom meet-ups and peer mentoring, and many other activities to prepare you for that first day of college. You will be able to access the online OHIO PREP for a full week in June and can review all of the material at your own pace.
Space is limited, and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified by e-mail about acceptance into the program. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Ginger Gagne!
Access to OHIO PREP Online is FREE!
