Career Bridges Programs are FREE program modeled from a new approach to workforce development programming. Stevens Literacy Center has designed a program, based on Godman Guild’s, Ohio Health, Columbus Program, that prepares employees to fit the known needs of Southeast Ohio Employers.
Career Bridges program is a 5-week training program that prepares participants to fill immediate needs within a healthcare organization. During this course, Stevens Literacy Center coaches’ partner with hospital staff to provide practical education in math, customer service, and other skills necessary for serving patient service roles. Additionally, participants are provided training focused on resume writing and interview skills. Finally, participants shadow current hospital staff during regular daytime shifts.
Stevens Literacy Center believes the Career Bridges model is a strong and effective workforce development program that can expand to fill the needs of diverse groups of employers.
