Teresa Franklin received her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Ohio University and M.S. in Occupational Technology from the University of Houston. Dr. Franklin received the 2014 iNACOL Innovator Award for Innovative Research in Blended and Online Learning. Dr. Franklin is a professor emerita in the Department of Educational Studies, where she taught instructional design, online course design for teaching and learning, curriculum evaluation and design, research, and assessment as well as research in the field of instructional technology and teacher preparation. Her research continues to focus on the integration of technology through curriculum development for face-to-face and online learning, the development of virtual learning and training environments and mobile technologies for 24/7 learning. As a professor emerita, Dr. Franklin now works nationally and internationally to provide teacher/faculty professional development in integrating technology for differentiated instruction and student achievement and to address issues in education, evaluation, and quality assessment of programs and colleges. She serves as an onsite evaluator for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Dr. Franklin is the co-author of five editions of Teaching Science for All Children, has numerous publications, NSF grants, and acts as the co-editor of the Turkish Online Journal for Educational Technology (TOJET). Dr. Franklin is presently a Fulbright Specialist after serving as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar in 2013-14 and as a Fulbright Discipline Peer Reviewer for Education from 2014 to 2018.
