Customer Service Major & Minor

Program Overview:

The major in Customer Service leads to a Bachelor of Applied Human and Consumer Sciences. It is a bachelor completion program designed for students who have completed an associate's degree (AA, AS, or AAS) or 60 semester hours and earned a 2.0 GPA from prior college-level coursework. For many students, the BAHCS degree with a Customer Service major will be a “2+2” option, enabling students to take only two additional years of coursework beyond the two years already spent earning the associate degree. The Customer Service major is designed for students who, when graduates, are likely to work with customers, clients, or members of the public who are served by organizations/businesses.

There are two enrollment options for students interested in the Customer Service major: 

1. On-Campus Option

This option is designed for students who wish to meet face-to-face, on the Athens campus, for the majority of coursework. Some of the core Customer Service courses are delivered in online formats; a robust assortment of elective courses and complementary minor programs are offered on the Athens campus.

2. Online Option
This program is designed for students who wish to participate in full-online courses, enrolled through Ohio University’s eCampus.
